Incensiere/Cachepot giapponese in bronzo, periodo Meiji. Opera di grande bellezza e qualità, creata sicuramente da un grande artigiano/artista per un importante committente. Il coperchio con la scultura rappresentate Daikokuten (Dio della ricchezza, abbondanza e della famiglia), Divinità più amate del Giappone, raffigurante un uomo dal viso ampio, sorridente, robusto e con il capo coperto da un cappello piatto; nella mano destra teneva un martello e nella sinistra un sacco (oggetti però purtroppo in quest’opera sono andati persi). Il vaso è sostenuto da tre bambini con tipici abiti molto ben rifiniti. Per tutti i dettagli fare riferimento alle foto. Il peso totale dell’opera è di kg. 3,900 (solo il coperchio pesa 1,200 kg.) Japanese bronze incense burner/cachepot, Meiji period. A work of great beauty and quality, certainly created by a great craftsman/artist for an important client. The lid with the sculpture representing Daikokuten (God of wealth, abundance and family), the most beloved deity in Japan, depicting a man with a broad, smiling, robust face and his head covered by a flat hat; in his right hand he held a hammer and in his left a sack (unfortunately, objects in this work have been lost). The vase is supported by three children with typical, very well-finished clothes. For all the details, refer to the photos. The total weight of the work is 3,900 kg (the lid alone weighs 1,200 kg).
