Handmade antique conch in silver - Shell - Nepal - second half 20th century
Carved conch shell made by hand representing the deity Vajrakilaya, powerful protector and destroyer of spiritual obstacles.
In the Buddhist temples of Tibet, the shell was used to call the monks to their service. This shell trumpet is a beautiful example of the bright colors and complex craftsmanship of Tibet. The shell is fitted with a white metal tip and inlaid with various semi-precious stones. It has a special sound. It will be carefully packaged and shipped insured.
Collection of General Roux purchased during these trips.
NB: All the items offered are vintage, therefore present traces of time and use, some details may have escaped me during my description and the real colors may be slightly different than in the photos (depending on the brightness and/or use of the flash)
In case of multiple purchases, the lots will be grouped in the same shipment without additional shipping costs.
