*No incluye marco. *Se realiza un envío ASEGURADO. About the work...

In this work, Quiona takes the iconic Salvator Mundi painting to a new dimension, fusing the classical with the contemporary and questioning the dynamics of control, surveillance and power in modern society.

In her reinterpretation, Quiona maintains the central figure of the original work, but replaces the pen that Jesus holds in Leonardo da Vinci’s painting with a modern round surveillance camera. This camera, a symbol of constant surveillance and monitoring of our actions, becomes a central element on the canvas, transforming the message of the original work and adding a layer of reflection on the impact of technology on our lives.

The title “I Am Watching You” becomes a powerful reminder of how surveillance, once exclusive to figures of power, has now become integrated into everyday life through technology. In this parallel, the figure of Jesus, traditionally seen as a savior, is now an observer who is aware of everything, challenging our perception of protection and control.

Salvator Mundi: I Am Watching You invites us to reflect on the balance between privacy and security, questioning the place of the individual in a world increasingly monitored and controlled by technology. A work that, through the intervention of urban art, offers a profound and relevant critique of the modern era.

About the artist...

Quiona Ribes is an urban artist born in Spain in 1987. It was in Valencia where she became interested in urban art and carried out pictorial experiments inspired by street art and painters from the late 20th century. This is how she began to develop her own style.
She later moved to Barcelona to continue her architecture studies, but a year later she decided to leave the architectural profession aside and instead study Applied Wall Arts and later graduate in Art History.

Her work, initially impressionist, now offers a unique and attractive vision, often using poetic language related to current events, art history and graffiti. She is known for her works made with the urban stencil technique and began to be inspired by artists of the scene such as Banksy, Martin Whatson, Keith Haring, Pichiavo, Okuda, Mr. Brainwash, Vhils and other classics such as Leonardo Da Vinci, El Greco or Velázquez.
In recent years she has focused on urban art, which has allowed her to become one of the leading women in the sector today.

His paintings are already selling for thousands of euros in international galleries and are a safe investment.
