Good conditions.
Description
This is a Japanese lacquered tea table (茶卓, chadaku), traditionally used in tea ceremonies (茶道, sadō) to hold tea utensils such as a tea caddy (棗, natsume), a tea bowl (茶碗, chawan), or a water container (水指, mizusashi).
The table has a wide, slightly concave surface, providing a stable place for tea implements. The elevated pedestal base is finely textured with a ribbed or ringed pattern, which adds depth and elegance to the design. The deep black-brown lacquer finish reflects light beautifully, emphasizing the refined craftsmanship.
