DESCRIPTION

Elegant stupa supported by three representations of Garuda, Burma, circa early 20th century. It comes from the Bagan region.

It is made of lacquered wood and gilded with gold leaf.

The stupa measures 27.4 cm in height, 7.5 cm in width and 8 cm in depth.

THE SELLER

For over 30 years, I have been traveling around Southeast Asia, mainly Burma, which has allowed me to acquire many objects there over the years. This statuette was purchased in the early 2000s, during a stay in Bagan. Jean Dumoulin.

STATE

Good condition for a stupa of this period but shows signs of age. (see photos).
