Beautiful original engraving, depicting one of the sheets from the ten plates representation of the Last Judgment, engraved by Giorgio Ghisi around 1545.
Unfortunately, a mutilated specimen at the margins, particularly on the left where the figure of the damned seated, looking with desperate eyes, is missing; the paper is vergellate, in good condition in the preserved part (see photo).
The damned, to the left of the judging Christ, are hurled down from above into Hell and eternal damnation.
