This is one of collectible pieces from my stock collection. The style and palette may suggest the influence by French or Italian Renaissance with it's light airy colors choice and fluid patterns which also may refer to frescoes in old churches with icon-like expression of serenity and meditation.

An indigenous Indian boy's face hovering over the broad planes. The rising sun behind his head forming a glowing halo. His face radiates peace and infinity.

The technique combines carving on glossy paper and oil paints. It's a long scrupulous process as some of the paper layers have to be peeled off and every detail is engraved directly in the paper surface. This unique technique makes each piece inimitable.

Nicolas Wind, a cosmopolitan artist, poet and musician currently residing in Prague, Czechia.

He dedicated two decades of his life to visual art showing his work at the galleries of USA and Europe, until 2006, when he begun making solely music. However in 2023 he got back to painting and premiered his photorealistic series 'Sky Windows'.

His primer influences include masters of Italian and French Renaissance, Leonardo da Vinci, Modigliani and Giorgio de Chirico.
