Exceptional ancient Tibetan ritual vase, traditionally used to transmit Long Life initiations. This type of bowl is the attribute of the Bodhisattva Amitayus (Tib.; "Tsé pamé") who is supposed to confer long life to the Buddhist practitioner.

The basic vessel in the form of a vase was often filled with saffron nectar and has four separate gilded parts, hanging at the four cardinal points, covered in gold and very finely chiseled.

The upper part, richly carved with flaming jewels, is filled with mendroups (medicine pills) and has in its center a Tsa Tsa (terracotta sculpture) representing the Buddha Akshobya, silvered (holding a vajra in his lap).

The lower part in the form of a saucer is also finely decorated with the eight auspicious signs and is silver-plated.

Very beautiful ritual object to keep preciously in your collection.
