OVERVIEW/CONDITIONS
Fiat 1100 103 E 1957 chassis 103E*285245 ash gray, former vehicle of the Civil Engineering from the province of Ascoli Piceno from 1957 to 1967, registered Ap 17978, currently in storage in Ancona.
In 1971, it was re-registered as AP 109223, with 2 owners besides me, in my possession since 2019.
This 1100 was used daily until 2005 by the last owner, then due to brake problems it sat in the garage until 2019.
In recent years, the brakes have been overhauled: new front and rear cylinders, the shoes have been adjusted, and the brake pump has been serviced.
Unfortunately, the braking is not perfect because the pin that moves the brake and clutch pedal needs to be replaced due to excessive play.
The engine starts and has good compression; I know that in the past years it was overhauled by the old owner, now it has a problem with the water pump gland that is leaking, but I already have the replacement part ready.
The dynamo has been recently overhauled because the bushing at the back was worn and it made a loud noise while running. Due to excessive wear, it overheated and rotated in its housing, so we modified the housing with a lathe and installed a sealed ball bearing.
the ignition coil has been overhauled and properly greased with points, capacitor, spark plug wires, and the central pin has been revised due to significant wear.
I am making a list of all the work done on the mechanics:
Oil filter and 20W40 Ardeca mineral oil service
Oil change 80w90
Differential oil 80w90
Differential rear entrance seal
Revamped dynamo with new magnetic fields and new bearings with modified bushing seat.
Distributor revision
New ignition cables
New candles
New front and rear brake cylinders and brake adjustment
Brake pump overhauled
Register valves
The bodywork shows clear signs of rust on the fenders, rear hatch, rust bubbles between the hood and windshield, and the bracket that supports the hood when it is opened has come unsealed.
He had an accident in the 90s in the front, damaging the bumper and the central headlight, but the latter was replaced by me.
The car has been repainted by the previous owner from a darker gray to a lighter gray over the years.
The underbody has rust perforation in the area under the driver's pedals and under the seat, but has no overall structural problems.
the interiors are worn and need restoration but they are complete, the seat is still comfortable and the front bench moves well back and forth.
the electrical system is perfectly functioning as is the central light that characterizes it.
Documents ready for the transfer of ownership, car registered in the ASI historical register.
Visible in Castel di Lama, Italy.
