Atmos clock - Jaeger-LeCoultre - - Crystal - 1960-1970

Swiss brand watch, perpetual,JAEGER LeCOULTRE, ATMOS II NEUCHATELOISE, series 122179, model 529, from 1961.The watch is an original model (you can see similar watches on e..., but much more expensive). The watch has been serviced and works very well. The clock mechanism has 16 jewels, J.L.REUTTER model, with compensating weights, at the hour markers. The late 1930s, Atmos watches have always been manufactured in the same factory in the Jura Mountains of Switzerland by highly skilled watchmakers. The Atmos clock is powered by perpetual motion - it doesn't need to be manually wound. It gets the energy it needs to run from changes in temperature and atmospheric pressure in the environment and can operate for decades without human intervention. For a two-day operation, a temperature variation of only one degree between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius or a pressure variation of 3 mmHg is sufficient. The operating spring is continuously charged, being almost all the time at the maximum load limit .It will be packed properly, in 2 boxes (box in a box) for shipping. You can watch the watch review video (even if you don't understand the language) at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8N-Mr3IgHOs&t=862s In the last photo, the center position of the pendulum for the clock to function is shown. (It can be seen in the side windows) #clocksandwatches
