A lovely wooden kô’dansu 小箪笥 (small cabinet of drawers), fully restored, cleaned, and waxed in Japan. Crafted from indigenous sugi (cedar) wood, it boasts an attractive reddish-brown hue, enhanced by a great aged patina. The cabinet is designed with a pair of sliding doors featuring light-coloured wooden panels, and four drawers of varying sizes equipped with elegant ‘warabite’-shaped bail handles. The sides are fitted with en-suite totte (grip handles) for easy transport. Period: Japan – Meiji period (1868-1912). Dimensions: Height 60.3 cm, Width 58.5 cm, Depth 33.1 cm. In a very good completely resorted condition. No key included. Please look at the photos for a condition reference. When shipped we will add a certificate of authenticity.
