Messerschmitt - KR 200 - 1960

No gotea y arranca y funciona debidamente. Messerschmitt - KR 200 - 1960

This is a Messerschmitt KR 200 microcar, manufactured in Germany in 1960.

It is a three-wheeled bubble car designed by aeronautical engineer Fritz Fend and produced at the German aircraft manufacturer Messerschmitt's factory from 1955 to 1964.

After the Second World War, Messerschmitt was unable to manufacture aircraft and had to focus on other products. Fend approached Messerschmitt with the idea of manufacturing small motor vehicles of the Kabinenroller type (scooter with cabin).

The KR 200 is a car that was successful due to its great design of a plexiglass dome with an "airplane" type opening.

I bought it in Germany about 5 years ago from its owner who had owned it for over 50 years. It is registered in Spain as a historic vehicle and has its MOT and Spanish documentation in order. I also have the original German documentation: manual, purchase contract and other complementary documentation.

The car is well maintained and I use it on weekends. The exterior is in very good condition, the paint is very good and the exterior body has its original lights and is in good condition. The windshield is the original one, and is in perfect working order.

The interior is in good condition, with some signs of wear and tear. The front and rear seats are in very good condition. The carpets are original. The speedometer works and so does the odometer. The clock in the photos is not the original, but I have the original.

The car has a 2-stroke Sachs engine and a 4-speed gearbox, both forward and reverse.

In March 2024, the engine was removed for preventive maintenance, replacing the brushes. It does not leak and starts and runs properly.

It comes with the 2 original hubcaps and a set of 3 wheels with studded winter tires. It also has 2 sets of keys.
