A large Chinese famille-rose 'Hundred Antiques' porcelain baluster vase. China, mid to late 19th century, most probably Tongzhi (1861-1875, 同治) period. Rare model in very big size!
Finely potted in baluster shape. Masterfully painted to the exterior: front with 'Hundred Antiques' and flowers under a large peony bloom; back with calligraphy in black and red, most probably Chinese poems. Top-rim gilt.
Daylight pictures included.
Dimensions: height – 43,8 cm; diameter - c. 20,5 cm.
Provenance: private collection, Sweden.
Conditions report: the vase in very good condition, small chip with associated short hairlines to the neck only. No other damages visible. No restorations. Painted decor in very good condition, with minimal age-related wear, gilding on top-rim worn. Strong white light tested. Check pictures for details.
