Ford - F100 - 1960

Technical:

The car is in very good condition.

Suspension, brakes, wheels, tires, engine, gearbox, steering, instruments, everything works properly and there are no faults or problems known. A major restoration took place in 1999 and the 390 big block and automatic C6 transmission with B&M shifter were installed.

The chassis was also addressed at that time. The beautiful 2-tone paint is in very good condition and the chrome is also well maintained. The rubbers on this Ford are also in very good condition. As the vehicle was only standing in a classic car collection and used only for very few occasions the condition was maintained in excellent shape.

The car recently had a service at a specialist for classic US cars where the engine oil and gearbox oil were changed and the power steering pump was replaced. Also the complete fuel system has been checked and readjusted. The car drives and handles perfectly and the engine has power enough for this relatively light pickup.

The 390cui 6.4 liter V8 engine produces around 300 hp and sounds beautiful, the automatic transmission also shifts very well.

Interior:

The interior of the F-100 is in good condition as you can also see in the photo’s. The carpet, headliner, door panels and dashboard are all well maintained and the sofa is very comfortable. All dashboard parts look and funtion well.

The white upholstery with red accents looks very nice. An aftermarket steering wheel is mounted because it is more convenient, but the original steering wheel is also available. Some additional instruments have been added. The seats are in very good condition, also no problems with deformation of shape.

The whole interior has been overhauled during the restauration in 1999 and breathes like a well maintained car, of course with the classic touch of a Ford pickup. It is definitely in good shape to be kept during many years to come.

Body/external:

During the restoration in 1999 teh complete body and chassis was taken apart, restored and repainted. All body parts look very nice and the sheet metal shows no traces of rust. And no body damage can be detected. As the car has been well maintained and since body-off restoration has been stored inside a garage, the overall appearance is astonishing good.

The wooden frame in the loading area was added in 2016 and is of high quality. The Ford has very nice chrome rims and the characteristic white tires.

Further information:

This beautiful F-100 is from the 3rd generation of the F series and was first registered in February 1960. The F-series is still made today. There are now 14 generations of the F-series. The enormous loading area offers a lot of space. Definitely one of the best classic Ford F100 pickups for sale. The car drives and shifts as it should and as you can see from the photos she even looks good.

It is advisable to view the vehicle before bidding to avoid disappointment afterwards. For a viewing appointment please contact Catawiki.’

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
