Kirsten Schankweiler - Life is better at the beach III (2021)

As an artist, I am fascinated by and inspired by the beauty and power of nature. For me, nature is an inexhaustible source of inspiration and beauty that I want to show in each of my works. I am fascinated by the complex patterns and colors found in nature and try to capture this in my art. In my works I try to capture the beauty and richness of nature, but also its transience and constant change. I use colors from a natural color spectrum to represent the connection to nature in my art. I am convinced that using these colors brings a deeper meaning to my paintings. My works are intended to create a deep connection to nature and encourage the viewer to experience the beauty and power of nature anew. I hope that my works inspire people to see nature with different eyes, to appreciate its beauty and to protect it. My artistic process is a constant process of experimentation. I am constantly looking for new techniques and materials to expand my artistic expression, discover new possibilities and grow as an artist. I am convinced that constant experimentation and the challenges it brings is an important part of my artistic path. My goal as an artist is to create a connection with the viewer and give them the opportunity to discover their own story from my work. I want my art to evoke emotions and make people think. I believe that art can create a strong connection between people and nature. Nature provides a rich environment with a variety of colors, smells and sounds that help reduce stress and improve well-being. It is scientifically proven that being in nature has a positive effect on physical and mental health and that regular contact with nature plays an important role in promoting a healthy lifestyle. That's why I want to use my work to raise awareness about protecting and preserving our natural resources. I am grateful for the opportunity to express my relationship with nature through my art and look forward to continuing to grow and learn as an artist. My love for nature will always be a part of me and I hope that my works will help others experience this beauty too.
