He included many documents on the Dutch West India Company that did not appear in the original French edition of 1768. Nearly the whole second volume treats the commerce with America and the Dutch colonies there. Also dealing with the Cape of Good Hope and other parts of Africa, the East-Indies and the Dutch East India Company in whaling and herring fishery etc. Condition: Good condition. No tearing or holes in pages, very little foxing and only slight browning of the paper. The covers are slightly worn and with volume 2, the top end of the spine has two tears and the bottom end of the spine is slightly frayed. Overal in good condition for its age.
