View translation2013 Dow's Crusted Port - Douro - 4 Bottles (0.75L)
No. 92652881
Perfect bottles, in very good condition.
See pictures for the exact status of labels, levels, package and capsules.
The white dots on the bottles indicate the upside storage situation in the Symington Dow’s Cellar.
Perfecly stored in our ow cellars, bottles originally bought in Portugal.
Crusted Port is a younger, rare style of Port wine that is bottled unfiltered, leaving a sediment (crust) to form in the bottle with time. It is a fairly recent invention, aiming to provide a full-bodied, traditional style that emulates Vintage Port.
Typically, top-quality Crusted Port is a blend of selected fuller-bodied lots of wine, which spend two to four years maturing in wooden vats, before being bottled unfiltered. The bottles then must be aged for at least three years before they can leave Oporto. Legally only the date of bottling may appear on the label. It can take a decade or more for the wine to develop a crust, although this still represents an earlier drinking opportunity than most vintage Ports.
Only a limited number of houses continue to produce the style, including Fonseca, Dow's, Churchill's and Graham's. Other houses have produced an unfiltered Late Bottled Vintage wine to offer similar characteristics.
Like Vintage Port, Crusted Port requires decanting to remove sediment prior to consumption.
No shipment of alcoholic beverages to Canada, USA, Russia, Mexico, Brazil, Gibraltar, Guernesy, Jersey because of custom regulations.
Buyer is responsible for all further costs due to custom regulations.
Also when goods are rejected or returned.
BREXIT: Shipments to the UK may be delayed due to slow Customs clearance. You can also be charged UK import duties.

View translationReally nicely packed! Quick delivery! Bottles look like the pictures! Zeer goed verpakt, snelle levering, Flessen zien er exact als de foto's uit! Dank!!!
View translationQuick and good delivery. The bottles were protected and well-packaged. However, the condition of the bottles was less than ideal. The corks were wet and barely came out (not airtight).
View translationI have not tasted the wine yet and I hope it will taste good even if some of the wine after many years have evaporated away
