Originally born and raised in Helsinki, Finland and after years of living in Brussels, Paris, and Berlin, she has settled in Oldenburg, Germany, where she maintains her primary studio. She also spends part of her time in Sicily, Italy, drawing inspiration from the serene landscapes of Northern Europe and the vibrant colors and textures of the mediterranean. Nature and emotion are at the heart of her work, inspiring her bold, organic forms and vivid, dynamic colors. Guided by intuition, the artist creates layered compositions that explore movement and flow, blending mixed media to capture the textures and energy of the natural world and her own emotional landscape. Through her art, Hermann seeks to merge the external beauty of nature with the depth of her inner emotional world.
