Type of jewel: Vintage antique brooch with white gold basket with rose cut diamonds and seed pearls
Condition: In reasonable good condition, especially given the jewel's age. It appears that two pearls may be missing on the right side, but their settings are no longer (or perhaps never were) present, so we have left it as is.

Era: ca. 1910
Material: 18K warm yellow gold (touchstone tested) - thought the center piece seems to be of a lower alloy, but we cannot reach it to test it.
Extra information: The outer part appears to have originated as a mid-19th-century shoe buckle, while the centerpiece seems distinctly younger, dating around 1900. At some point, both pieces were combined to create this brooch.
Diamond(s): 34 senaille cuts. A senaille is a simplified rose cut diamond, a small diamond chip with perhaps a few polished facets. We do not have the weight of these diamonds which is normal in our trade when it comes to senailles.
