Nikko - NR-715 - Solid state stereo receiver
No. 92495865
A very nice and fully functioning NIKKO NR-715 Receiver from the golden Hifi era.
The design is really beautiful with the white backplate and the fresh blue backlight.
Pretty difficult to capture by a photo-camera I've noticed.
I mean to say, in real-live this white backplate with blue backlight in high contrast with the yellow tuning-pointer, looks much better then at the pictures.
The sound is surprisingly open, clear and warm. With 38 Watts (Real RMS) its pretty powerful too. More then enough to fill up your living room.
The quality feels really solid, with Aluminum front-plate and knobs and a real Woodcase.
As what you can expect from such a receiver it has several inputs like : Tape , Aux , Phono and an AM + FM Tuner.
Further more equipped with a High Filter, Mono, FM-Muting, Tape-Monitor and of course a Loudness switch.
This receiver has had some serious service in the sense of:
- All solder-join's renewed (!!)
- All electrolytic capacitors checked and replaced once out of spec
- Blue Backlights renewed (in real live it looks really good now)
- Note: the Backlight can also be switched into Green if that suits better with your
other audio gear !!
(switches for this feature are at the back, see pictures).
- Bias + Offset adjusted according factory defaults
- Fully Cleaned
No cracky pots or switches or other unwanted noises.
Unfortunately a little paint-damage at the frame of the dail (near by the type-number "NR-715", see pictures)
More specs:
- Tuning range: FM, AM
- Power output: 38 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo)
- Frequency response: 10Hz to 30kHz
- Dimensions: 480 x 155 x 350mm
- Weight: 9.6kg
- Year: 1978
Packaging will be done very careful with extra protection to the front-plate.
(including extra prayers that the couriers will handle it with the same care).
The pictures and the below YouTube video are part of the description.
The Nikko NR-715 in here is the Actual Item in Auction. What you see and hear here, is what you are bidding for !
