This copy is the second impression of the first edition for general circulation printed in 1935. The book includes an introduction, 10 books, 2 appendix of ‘Nominal Roll’ Places, Personal Names, and Index. Illustrated with portrait frontispiece of Lawrence, 53 Full page portraits, and 4 folding maps. Published by Jonathan Cape, London, 1935. Original Sand-coloured cloth, spine lettered in gilt, upper board with centre gilt motto of double crossed swords ('The sword also means clean-ness and death'). Top page edges gilt. Book Dimensions: 26 x 20 x 5 cm and Number of Pages: 672 including 2 appendix and index Weighing in excess of 2 kilograms. Condition Firm and well bound copy. External covers are slightly faded, with light wear to corners and spine ends. Internally the book is in very good condition. A little name with neat ink on top first front free endpaper page. Pages are clean, with light foxing marks to the margin of some pages, and page edges. All pages are tightly held at the gutter. Inner hinges are very good. The text and plates are clean and bright (Please see pictures).
