A very fine silver child’s rattle in the form of a Chinese lady wearing a hat. The finial on the hat working as a whistle The teether carved and polished from red stone Engraved with name to the bottom edge Tentative date ca. 1850-1880, probably of German origin. Appears to be unmarked but tested positive for silver in acid test Condition - Some of the tassels missing on the hat. Otherwise in a good condition with marks and wear commensurate with age Please see the photos This lot will be carefully packed and sent by registered and insured mail
