High-quality Japanese traditional Hand carved wooden Bitchu Kagura Mask - Kushiinadahime櫛稲田姫, finely carved with excellent craftsmanship, made by Tatsuya Hiramatsu平松竜岳.
Goddesses in Japanese mythology, she appears in the tale of the defeat of Yamata no Orochi. She is the last surviving daughter of the eight daughters of Ashinazuchi and Tenazuchi, the sons of Oyamatsumi. As described as a "young girl" in the original text, Kushinadahime herself is still a young girl. When she was about to be sacrificed to Yamata no Orochi, she was transformed by Susanoo into a comb. Susanoo put the comb on his head and fought and defeated Yamata no Orochi.
Dimensions: 21 x 13 x 8 cm
