Oluce Acrylic table lamp, design Joe Colombo. The model, created in 1962 and born simply as 281, was later nicknamed "Acrilica", recalling the main material of this object and the extraordinary use made of it with the 281.

In fact, methacrylate, which has already been used for about a decade in the lighting field, usually in thin cut or thermoformed sheets, finds a very particular use here.

The shape and significant thickness of the curve that makes up the 281 allows, thanks to its conduction properties, the light of a fluorescent bulb contained inside the painted steel base to travel up the transparent body and illuminate the head.

Condition is excellent, like new, with only very light scratches on the back due to cleaning.
The lamp measures 23 x 23.5 x 26 cm.
Base in black painted steel and body in acrylic.
