Known as a disciple of "Tangei Tsuruzawa"鶴澤探鯨(1687~1769), he ascended to the rank of "Hōkkyō"法橋, a significant status among painters, and also served as an "Imperial court painter"禁裏御用絵師. "Genchin Yoshida"吉田元陳(1728~1795) was skilled in painting famous scenic spots, and it is presumed that there were considerable requests for his depictions of "Mount Fuji"富士山 among other subjects during his time.
