Elegante sedia Savonarola degli artisti fiorentini in legno di Noce.

Realizzata nella metà del XX° secolo in Italia, precisamente nella regione Toscana.
La Savonarola, è un sedia pieghevole, chiudibile come un libro e costituita da elementi incurvati a serpentina e incrociati ad X. Lo schienale rappresenta il giglio, simbolo fiorentino mentre i braccioli terminano con l'effigi di leoni.

Il termine "Savonarola" deriva dal nome di Girolamo Savonarola (1452 - 1498), al cui tempo risalirebbe la sedia di questo tipo ancora conservata nella sua cella presso il convento di San Marco a Firenze, nel quale visse dal 1482 alla morte.

In buone condizioni generali, normali segni d'usura e dell'età (vedere foto).
Dimensioni: 90 cm altezza x 60 cm lunghezza.
