Deze Jaguar XJ6 Series III is nog in volledig originele staat, met slechts één eerder geregistreerde eigenaar en een zeer lage kilometerstand van 50.623 km. 

Deze auto ziet eruit alsof hij pas aan de eerste eigenaar is afgeleverd en verkeert nog steeds in prachtige staat. Afgewerkt in de elegante kleurencombinatie Rhodium Silver Metallic in combinatie met een interieur in Isis (donkerblauw) leder, is dit een stijlvolle auto. 

De XJ6 is op 15 november 1983 nieuw geleverd door Jaguar dealer Caspers in Groningen en altijd door deze Jaguar dealer onderhouden. De auto wordt geleverd met alle boekjes en gereedschap, en is de perfecte klassieker voor iemand die originaliteit waardeert. 

Hieronder nog een kleine detailbeschrijving :

Carrosserie/lakwerk:

De Jaguar is nog grotendeels in eerste lak (enkel motorkap en dak zijn waarschijnlijk éénmaal herspoten want lakdiktemeting geeft hier een waarde tussen 200 en 400 µm). De kwaliteit van de lak is nog zeer goed met een mooie homogene glans. De carrosserie is in zeer goede staat, en ook het onderstel is nog in zeer goede en roestvrije staat. 

Twee opmerkingen: er is een barst in de voorruit rechts onderaan, dus voor een nieuwe keuring zal deze moeten vervangen worden, en op het rechter spatbord vooraan is een klein blaasje in de lak zichtbaar. Chroom en rubbers zijn nog steeds in perfecte staat. De auto heeft geen ongevalherstellingen gehad. De originele Jaguar toolkit is ook nog aanwezig.

Technisch:

De motor start onmiddellijk en draait zeer soepel en zacht. De automatische versnellingsbak schakelt vlot tussen de versnellingen zonder horten of stoten. Er is een olielek tussen motor en versnellingsbak, waarschijnlijk door het geringe gebruik in de laatste jaren. Remmen en ophanging zijn in zeer goede staat. In 2023 heeft de auto een volledige servicebeurt gehad, en is ook de luchtdebietregeling van het injectiesysteem vervangen zodat de motor weer loopt zoals het hoort. 

Interieur:

Deze Jaguar heeft nog het volledige originele interieur in zeer mooie staat, wat gezien de lage kilometerstand ook te begrijpen is. De stoelen zijn af fabriek met soepel blauw leder, en de tapijten zijn licht verkleurd door de ouderdom. De hemelbekleding is nog in zeer goede staat, en alle electrische bedieningen werken zoals het hoort.

Documenten:

Deze Jaguar is nieuw geleverd door Jaguar dealer Casters in Groningen (NL). De originele handleiding, serviceboek en servicehandleiding (alles in het Nederlands) zijn nog bij de auto. De auto is steeds onderhouden geweest bij Jaguar Casters, en daarvan is ook een bevestigingsbrief bijgevoegd die tegelijkertijd de lage kilometerstand bevestigd. Er zijn ook een aantal RDW keuringsrapporten in het dossier die de kilometerstand eveneens confirmeren. De Jaguar heeft een Nederlands kenteken.

Algemeen:

Dit is een uitzonderlijke XJ6 van de 3e serie. Voorzien van de krachtige 4,2 Litre zescilinder motor, en met gedocumenteerde lage kilometerstand. Dit is absoluut geen project zoals de meeste van de overblijvende XJ6 modellen van deze generatie, maar een echt collectors item door zijn zeer mooie originele staat.
