The 'Dreams' series, dating back to 1999, is a collaboration between two Whisky pioneers in Italy: Silvano Samaroli and Pepi Mongiardino, patron of Moon Import. The series, with its unusual label, features artwork designed by Nadia Pini and Hans Piu, and all bear Silvano Samaroli's signature printed on the capsule.

Mortlach was founded in 1823 and was the first of the Dufftown Seven Stills to receive an official licence. The distillery rose to prominence for its unique distillation regime, which produced a notoriously 'meaty' whisky that was highly prized by blenders, and which made it accessible for years only through independent bottlers - just as in this case.
