Prachtige collectie tinnen speelgoud van het merk Britains Ltd fabriek startte in 1893 onder leiding van William Britain Jr. Ze begonnen met het maken van speelgoed soldaten in Londen en werden marktleider. 
In 1921 werden een 30 tal dieren geproduceerd tot de jaren 30. 
Vanaf 1966 werden ze niet meer gemaakt door het gezondheidsrisico dat het lood met zich meebracht. 

Deze dieren hebben een prachtige patina door de tijd gekregen.
