Here is a remarkable azurite specimen from Chessy, the type-locality for the species (formerly named 'chessylite' by ancient authors)!
It consists in a floater cluster of two fairly big rhombohedral crystals, of deep royal blue colour, featuring unique polysynthetic lattice mosaic faces with countless tiny parallel faces, making for an extraordinary satin lustre effect. Stunning in person!
