Three 1930’s grass fibre coiled baskets with creative three-toned patterns from Congo.
Created from coiled woven structures, these Congolese baskets exhibit three distinct sculptural forms. The coarsely-woven coiled structure of the two spherical baskets differentiate from the other rectangular more finely-woven basket. Each basket displays creative patterns, made from the interplay of fibres against the coiled foundational structure, with dark and mid-tone colours contrasting against the natural pale gold colour of the fibre.

Dimensions:
Smaller spherical : 122g 7 x 11 x 7 cm
Rectangular: 48g 11 x 12 x 12 cm
Larger spherical: 150g 10 x 15 x 15 cm
