Si tratta di una tela raffinata e molto luminosa nel tipico stile della pittura napoletana del pieno Ottocento. L'opera si presenta in buono stato di conservazione. The Palizzi brothers' workshop represents one of the most prolific and successful schools of painting in the Neapolitan tradition of the second half of the nineteenth century, entering the most important museum collections in Italy and Europe.
The work in question depicts one of the typical and most appreciated subjects of Filippo Palizzi and his workshop, namely the shepherdess returning from the pastures with the animals. It is a refined and very luminous canvas in the typical style of Neapolitan painting of the mid-nineteenth century.

The work is in good condition. Some very small restorations should be noted.
