Red, 14 Months in Barrel. DO. Toro, Zamora. 100% Tinta de Toro Loamy-Sandy terrain with a deep sandy layer. Gentle undulations around the Duero Valley. Altitude around 700m. Age over 40 years old, Continental with Atlantic influences. Cold winters and hot summers with many hours of daylight. Significant day-night thermal jumps in the ripening stage. Selection of grapes. Harvested in the fourth week of September. Pre-fermentative maceration for 2-3 days. Fermentation at 24-26º C. Maceration for 15 days with daily pump-overs. 14 months of oxidized aging in 60% French oak barrels and 40% American oak. Reducing aging in the bottle for 8 months. tasting notes: Great coat, edged with cherry color. Fine varietal expression, with red fruits and licorice assembled with spaced, toasted and chocolate. Elegant and unctuous meatiness, Round, balanced.
