This is an old Japanese postcard album.
It includes many scenes from Kabuki, a traditional Japanese performing art. The item is nearly 100 years old now and is an extremely valuable album.
This album was entrusted to us by an old house collector in Japan.
All are from before 1945.
These do not have a clear date of manufacture. However, there is information that can be used to read the age.
It can be seen that the Japanese reading of "郵便はがき," meaning a postcard, is right-to-left. This is the way the Japanese language was read before 1945, unlike modern Japan. Thus, we can see that these postcards are pre-1945.

Although they are 100 years old, both the albums and postcards are in remarkably excellent condition. Many of the postcards are personally signed by the actresses. And on the back of every postcard, the title of the play, the date, and the name of the actress are all written.
This is a very beautiful and wonderful collector's item.
