Magnificent First Choice Tea Set for 6 persons, “Scattered Flowers” pattern, marvelous hand painted, with lovely various small flowers scattered on a white porcelain, gold trimmed, in good condition.
Entirely hand painted, a one of a kind creation by the artists who carefully painted different garden flowers on each cup and saucer, trimmed the scalloped edges and hand applied "twig" handles with gilt. The colors are bright and luscious, they stand out beautifully against the pristine White ground.
Polychrome painting with scattered flowers, ornamental gilding, delicate forget-me-nots and other flowers, this pattern is of sublime delicacy.
Floral painting on porcelain has a long tradition at the Meissen manufactory that has grown continually throughout the ages and continues on to this day.
All the pieces are in good or excellent condition, tea pot with rose bud chipped, milk jug with chip on the rim and handle, one saucer with chip on the edge, marked with Meissen blue crossed sword mark of the period and numbered, NO grinding lines, First Choice, NO other chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see the pictures as they are part of description.
