2021 VIntage

The Las Gaviotas Vineyard is located about four kilometers from the sea in the Leyda Valley and must be one of the closest to the cold influence of the Pacific on the central coast, on the western hillsides of the Coastal Mountain Range. That’s the source of this sauvignon, which is fermented and aged for a short period in stainless steel tanks (80% of the blend), as well as in untoasted foudres and concrete eggs. The force of the sea is evident here, along with the intense acidity, the salty notes, and the sensation of freshness that inundates the fruity flavors. But it's also an intense, full-bodied, and concentrated wine. Leave room in the cellar for a few bottles because this excellent sauvignon needs time to gain complexity.
