Rattanakosin Buddha from Thailand. Cast in bronze and 21 cm high.
Early 1900s, layered with gold leaves.
Seated on a throne.
The robes are decorated with, among other things, floral patterns.
Especially at the face, arm and and foot, you can see the old layers of gold leaves.
Period: Mid Rattanakosin
Height 21 cm
Weight 1.3 kg
The figure is in good condition with signs of use and wear. Tip of flame missing.
Gold leaf layer is cracked and worn as usual on these 100-year old figures, which is also a good sign that it is original.

Sits in the posture of Dhyan Mudra, a also known as Samadhi or Yoga. Both hands are placed on the lap and the right hand is placed on the left hand with stretched fingers and palms facing upwards).
Perfect for decoration in the living room, bookcase, home altar or meditation area.
