This radio is a very RARE radio to find and many collectors seek this radio due to his rarity.
Never been sold on Catawiki before !
The radio works and even has all original correct Philips tubes inside .
But don't expect a modern tuner, you can pick up a few stations with a little music.
The cabinet is all made out of bakelite , which is in perfect condition.
All knobs are correct (original) ,Paper speaker and even the grill cloth are original.
Only the back cover is a replica and has a crack ( see picture ).

Louis Christiaan Kalff (Amsterdam, November 14, 1897 - September 16, 1976) was a Dutch graphic designer. His After an HBS education, Kalff studied at the Applied Arts School Quellinus Amsterdam (now the Rietveld Academy) and at the Technical College in Delft.
Between 1925 and 1926, Louis Kalff, designed the building of the Delft Student Rowing Association "Laga" in the style of the Amsterdam School.
In 1925, Louis Kalff started working at the advertising department of Philips in Eindhoven. Under his leadership, the Lighting Advice Bureau (LIBU) was founded in 1929. He took part in the world exhibitions in Barcelona, Antwerp, Brussels and Paris. Kalff was the designer of the Philips logo. In addition, as a freelancer, he designed posters and advertising materials for the Holland America Line, Calvé, Zeebad Scheveningen, and Holland Radio. He also designed book bindings.

At Philips Kalff also worked as an architect on objects such as: the Dr. A.F. Philips Observatory (1937) in Eindhoven, the Diamond Boreyard (1948) in Valkenswaard and several country houses in Eindhoven and Waalre for Philips executives.
After the Second World War, Kalff was actively involved in industrial design at Philips and designed various lamp fixtures in a modernist functional style. After his retirement in 1960, Louis Kalff remained with Philips as a consultant and architect. In 1961 he took over the management and implementation of the Evoluon. It was the last work of the lighting architect who was responsible for advertising for the Philips group for almost forty years.
