Magnificent rare Meissen Centerpiece, model designed by Ernst August Leuteritz with relief fruits and Narcisus flower, in pristine condition.
The plate have a lobed border as a huge flower with eight “petals”. Inside each lobe the are heavily gilded 3D good wealth fruits and flowers on branches, including pomegranate, pears and apples.
The middle octagonal shape have a fabulous yellow Daffodil (Narcissus) Flower hand painted in vivid hues of yellow and orange, with it’s green stem. Apart from it can be spotted a little acorn covering a sand grain from manufacturing process, Meissen trademark of the period.
Heavy gilded and gold painted this is a spectacular plate to be displayed on cabinets. Extremely rare!
Floral painting on porcelain has a long tradition at the Meissen manufactory that has grown continually throughout the ages and continues on to this day.
It is in pristine condition, Like New Never Used, marked with Meissen blue crossed swords mark of the period (Pfeiffer Era 1924-1934), two grinding lines, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see the pictures as they are part of description.
