Designer - Charles and Ray Eames. We assume this is one of the early models of producer Vitra. Iconic Charles & Ray Eames original Lounge Chair & Ottoman in restored condition. Models No. 670 and 671. Elegant, modern and comfortable - thanks to these qualities, the Lounge Chair became one of the most famous designs by Charles and Ray Eames and has attained the status of a classic in the history of modern furniture.
The chair has some of the features of the first generation production: silver circular clips, 3 screws for the armrest m, goose down feather filling for cushions. One of the cushions (either chair or ottoman) has foam filler. We assume that round out cuts on the outside were added later when fixing the chair to hold it together in place. We have restored the chair by filling with plugs where two screws on each side were visible. It also was reupholstered with high quality german leather without changing the filling or back parts. Color of the chair was also restored. Chair swivels around its axis, ottoman doesn’t.
