Probot is a music project by former Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters singer/guitarist Dave Grohl.

In this project, of which the first, untitled CD was released in 2004, Grohl collaborates with his old music heroes, mainly from the metal genre, such as Lemmy Kilmister (Motörhead), Max Cavalera (Sepultura, Soulfly) and King Diamond (Mercyful Fate). .
Grohl wrote custom songs for each of the guest artists; the lyrics came from the guest artists themselves. Although there was more than a little interest in the ex-Nirvana superstar from major record companies, he decided to release the album on a small, independent label. Due to the complex composition of the band, it does not perform live.
It is remarkable that Grohl played almost all the instruments himself, just not where the guest artists stuck to their own instruments. This was not entirely new for Grohl: although the first Foo Fighters album (from 1995) credited co-musicians, it is an open secret that Grohl played all parts himself.
