This beautiful Beogram 1202 is the model to own for collectors. It is better than the later and more popular (cheaper) 1203. The weight - 2 kgs more than 1203 proves more solid build and better resistance to vibrations. There is also am indicator light for tonearm cueing and built-in adaptor for 7 inch records, which were omitted on the 1203. Seller, specialist in B&O turntables has given it a comprehensive refurbishing including: - Total overhaul of the drive system including new drive belt, idle-wheel and motor bearings as well as cleaning, lubrication and adjustment. The cost of the parts alone from the recognized Danish web shop Beoparts amounts to more than €80. - Overall cleaning externally, polishing of the transparent lid, light sanding and treatment of the wood with bees wax. - After completion it was successfully tested as daily record player for a week.
