FRITZ KÖTHE: POP-ART AT ITS BEST!
"Mouth to the right" 1981.

Katrin Stoll writes: "He could serve as an example of a future positive value development. Florian Illies writes: "The BRD Godfather of Pop. More macho than Mel Ramos, but a better artist. About to be rediscovered."

On offer is a beautiful art print (Color Serigraph) by Fritz Köthe. This comes from a special edition limited to 300 copies and signed by hand. The print was created very elaborately in a screen printing process with 60 individual printing processes/colors (the colors of the image preview may differ slightly from the original art print for technical reasons). However, this picture has not yet been hung on any wall and has been stored under lock and key. Therefore, it has not been exposed to sunlight and the color brilliance is like on the first day.

Format incl. white border approx. 760 x 555 mm, pure image format approx. 585 x 435 mm. The edition number shown in the picture is to be understood as an example. There is no claim to exactly this copy of the limited edition.

Shipping costs depend on the recipient's destination.
Extended insurance is offered.

Fritz Köthe: * September 26, 1916 in Berlin; † October 22, 2005 Berlin, is considered one of the most important German representatives of Pop Art and Photorealism. Together with Werner Berges, he was one of the great German Pop Art artists. The combination of women and motor sport was part of his work, often in the style of decollages. The art historian and managing director of the Neumeister auction house, Katrin Stoll, writes: "He could serve as an example of future positive value development." And Florian Illies writes in his art magazine "Monopol": "Fritz Köthe, once mocked as Tom Wesselmann for the poor, is in fact the West German Godfather of Pop. More macho than Mel Ramos, but a better artist. About to be rediscovered."

The edition number shown in the picture is not binding! Die im Bild gezeigte Editionsnummer ist nicht verbindlich!
