中國清康熙皇帝幼年即位，在位期間智擒權臣鰲拜、緩和階級、清徭薄賦、改革稅收、疏通漕運、用兵三籓及邊境國家，與俄國簽訂尼布楚條約、甚至用兵西藏，引入西洋科學等，奠定及開創康雍前盛世，同時康熙也在中國在位期間最久的皇帝，他的故事大量被拍成影劇，是一位極有功績的皇帝。康熙既然是盛世，該朝的錢幣也就非常漂亮，康熙通寶被稱為詩錢(因為錢幣背面的文字各有不同，念起來像是一首詩。)。
