Flawless condition blown and hand shaped Johann Oertel - Haida art deco "überfang" glass vase from the first decades of the 20th century. Solid, heavy, thick-walled, double-layered vase made of colorless crystal glass with a claret overlay. Its decoration is a spiral pattern with cut circles motifs appearing on the entire surface, which creates a special optical effect due to the multiple refraction of light. The rim is polished, the bottom is polished in the shape of a star. It is made of crystal glass, a material known for its brilliance, which can be distinguished by the purity of its compounds, its refractive quality and its thickness. Its special feature is grinding, when the cutter cuts the pattern drawn on the sample piece into the surface of the glass. Each type of cut creates a specific motif, such as bevel, teardrop, geometric panels and the iconic diamond cut.
