In 1971 zocht Jaguar naar de perfecte balans tussen comfort en prestaties, en dat is absoluut gelukt met deze derde serie E-Type V12. De auto biedt een luxueus rijcomfort zonder concessies te doen aan de sportieve prestaties waar de E-Type om bekend staat. Met een topsnelheid van meer dan 220 km/u en een acceleratie naar 160 km/u in ongeveer 16 seconden, levert deze klassieker nog steeds indrukwekkende prestaties. 
 
Historische achtergrond
De E-Type heeft door de jaren heen verschillende evoluties doorgemaakt. In de derde serie introduceerde Jaguar de krachtige V12-motor. Dit maakte de auto niet alleen sneller, maar ook beter geschikt voor lange afstanden als een luxueuze Grand Tourer.
