Deze kleden werden gebruikt als wikkelrok door de Kuba stam in Congo,; als prestige-object en als belangrijkste onderdeel van de bruidsschat. Ntshaks worden gemaakt van raffia van de raffia-palmboom, taai en moeilijk te bewerken materiaal dat eerst wekenlang natgehouden wordt en gekneed om de draden soepel te maken. Dit langdurige proces alsmede het weven gebeurde erdoor de mannen - het borduren en anderzins verfraaien door de vrouwen. De vervaardiging van een Ntshak van deze afmeting kon maanden duren.
Dit type rok wordt gedragen door mannen tijdens traditionele dansen in hun dorp. Dit kleed is afkomstig van de Kuba Bushoongo.
