Owner of this castle since the 17th century is the Guinaudeau family, who also run the famous Château Lafleur in Pomerol. The vineyards are planted on a clay-limestone soil, typical of Saint-Emilion. The wine growing is done with the same care as at Lafleur: everything is done by hand, from pruning to harvesting, to ensure that this special soil is fully developed. The soil cultivation is done without chemical weed killers, by raking and deep soiling. The planting on the 15 hectare vineyards for the red wines mainly consists of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. For the white wines, Sauvignon and Sémillon are used.
In the vinification of Lafleur and Grand Village, Guinaudeau is advised by the former cellar master of Petrus, Jean Claude Berrouet. The winemaking is also the responsibility of the team of Château Lafleur.
The 6 single bottles will be shipped to you in a secure, protective packaging.
