Elle pèse 78 grammes et mesure 4,5 x 3 x 2,5 cm.
Cette pallasite s'appelait initialement Habaswein, d'après une ville proche de l'endroit où les premiers fragments avaient été retrouvés. Finalement, la météorite a été officiellement nommée Sericho, d'après la région du Kenya où le premier impact a eu lieu.
Elle possède son propre certificat d’authenticité envoyé avec dans la livraison.
