The Bolgheri "Villa Donoratico" comes to life from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (45%), Cabernet Franc (30%), Merlot (15%) and Petit Verdot (10%). The vines, facing south-west at about 150-180 meters above sea level, enjoy a Mediterranean and maritime climate: throughout the year they are caressed by the gentle breezes that rise from the sea and kissed by the roaring Tuscan sun. The soil has a variable composition of sand, limestone and clay, which contributes to giving savory and mineral notes. The grapes are selected and harvested by hand and then taken to the cellar. A soft pressing gives rise to a very delicate must which is fermented in steel tanks with maceration on the skins for at least 20-25 days. Aging takes place in 225 liter barriques for about a year.
